    Drive-thru a 1.5-mile trail with more than 100 dazzling holiday-themed displays with five new displays designed by Girl Scouts in Suffolk County extended our Girl Scout Way. Open from November 26 to December 30 (Closed December 24 & 25).

Congratulations! We had over 80 submissions, making it incredibly difficult to choose a winner. We thank each and every one of you for submitting your beautiful designs for our contest. Every Girl Scout who participated will be mailed a special  Creative fun patch. Our team will be working very hard to bring these drawings to life at our show!

Don’t Miss the 2022 Girl Scout Design a Light Show Display Contest!

You and your troop can help design NEW light displays for the Girl Scout Holiday Way attraction at our Holiday Light Show! This is a great opportunity for troops or individual Girl Scouts. PLUS all participants receive a special contest FUN patch! 5 designs will be chosen!

Contest Guidelines:

  • You must be a registered Girl Scout for the 2023 Girl Scout Year;  Not renewed yet? Click here
  • Your theme and design proposals should be consistent with the Girl Scout mission and ideals; entries using copyrighted characters or designs will not be considered;
  • Our displays are built using rope lighting or bulbs on wooden frames. Your ideas should be both grand in scale and streamlined in design—the simpler the better!
  • If you choose to use a word in your display, it must be 5 characters or less;
  • All entries must be submitted no later than Monday, August 15, 2022, by 5:00 PM.
     

What You'll Win:

  • Tickets to see GSSC’s Smith Point Light Show
  • Large sign at the display identifying the designer(s)
  • Photo op at your display
  • Bragging rights as the designer(s) of a site at Long Island’s brightest light show!

Looking for Santa Claus

We’re looking for seasonal help at our Enchanted Forest Holiday Village at Southaven County Park. Responsibilities include interacting with children and having pictures taken with guests. Other duties include wearing a red Santa Claus suit, growing a beard (or wearing a fake one), and convincingly emitting jolly laughter.

Saturdays and Sundays after Thanksgiving—November 26th-27th, December 5th-6th, 12th-13th, and 19th-20th. Enchanted Forest is open 5-9 PM.

  • Combo Ticket: BUY TICKETS

    Drive-thru our Holiday Light Show and visit the Enchanted Forest. Only available online. 

    • $40 per Car + up to 5 Forest tickets.
    • $100 per Mini-Bus + up to 15 Forest tickets.
    • $150 per School Bus + up to 40 Forest tickets.

    You can also purchase additional Enchanted Forest tickets if your vehicle holds more than included amounts for $5.00 per person.

  1. I can't find my tickets. How do I get them again?
    If you can't find your confirmation email, please check your junk/spam folder of your email. If it is not there, you can resend the confirmation email. Visit our ticketing page at gssc.ticketspice.com/holidaylightshow. At the top, click "Resend Confirmation (Helpful Links)" and enter the email you used to purchase your tickets.  You should receive a new confirmation email. If you are still having issues finding your tickets, email us at lightshow@gssc.us and we will assist you.
  2. I purchased a ticket, do I have to attend a specific night?
    No, you can use your ticket any night the show is open. Please see our calendar above for when we are open and hours of operation.
  3. I purchased a Combo Light Show/Enchanted Forest ticket, do I need to attend both experiences on the same night?
    No, you can attend the drive-thru Light Show and walk through Enchanted Forest on separate nights. See our calendar above to see when each experience is open.
    When you attend the light show, you will show us your Combo Light Show & Enchanted Forest ticket and when you attend the Enchanted Forest, each person in your group will have to show their Enchanted Forest tickets.
  4. I purchased a Girl Scout ticket, where do I pick up the free 2 patches?
    You will pick up your 2 free event patches at the drive-thru Light Show ticket booth.
  5. Do I have to print my ticket?
    We do suggest you print your ticket OR have your ticket QR code ready to be scanned / a screenshot of the QR code on your mobile device. Cellular service may be slow at both Smith Point and Southaven.
  6. Will you close the show if the weather is bad?
    We will determine if the weather will affect our experiences and the safety of our visitors. We encourage you to check our website here or our social media for up-to-date information on opening and closing.
  7. Can we get out of our vehicles during the drive-thru Light Show?
    No, for the safety of you and your passengers, you MUST stay in your vehicles at all times while driving through the Holiday Light Show. 
  8. Do we turn off our headlights while driving through the Holiday Light Show?
    We do ask that you turn off your headlights while driving through to get the best experience. We understand that many vehicles have daytime running lights, so we ask that you dim them if your vehicle allows you to OR not drive close to the car in front of you as a courtesy to all our visitors.

  • How Much is Admission?

    Save when you purchase a ticket online! Our pre-sale tickets go on sale Tuesday, October 19 to Friday, November 26. You can use your ticket any day of the show. Print your ticket or show it on your mobile device at the booth (Great as a gift!)

    You can also drive up to the entrance and pay $25/car ($45 for Mini-bus/RV and $75 for School/Coach Bus) at the ticket booth. To ensure contactless interaction, only credit/debit cards will be accepted at the booth. (No cash.) Ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

    What If The Weather Is Bad?

    We will do our best to notify everyone as quickly as possible if we must close due to bad weather conditions.  To find out if our show is open, visit us here, call (631) 543-6622, or follow our Facebook for any announcements.

    Do I Need To Turn Off My Headlights?

    Yes, please turn off your headlights when you drive through show. If you cannot turn your lights off, please turn your lights on dim and keep a safe distance between you and the car in front of you. When you leave the show, remember to turn your headlights back on.

    Tips for driving safely through the show:
    Please do not tailgate the vehicle in front of you. Keep a safe distance, as cars in front of you may brake suddenly. Be alert of slow vehicles. 

    Can We Take Photos of The Show?

    YES! Please take as many pictures as you’d like from the safety of your vehicle & share them on social media! Use #SmithPointLightShow and tag us on Facebook and Instagram (@smithpointlightshow)!

    Can I Exit My Vehicle While Driving Through?

    No. For your safety, we require that all passengers remain in the vehicle while driving through the Smith Point Light Show. Photography is permitted from inside your vehicle. 

    Tips for driving through the show
    Please do not tailgate the vehicle in front of you. Keep a safe distance, as cars in front of you may brake suddenly. Be alert of slow vehicles.

    Please note: No passengers are permitted in the back of pickup truck or in an attached trailer. Please follow local traffic safety laws.

     

    Can I Bring a Large Vehicle, Such As A Bus?

    Yes, coach and school buses can be accommodated. Pre-sale ticket is $70 per coach or school bus. Regular online ticket is $72, Gate price is $75.

    Can Our Pets Enjoy The Show?

    Yes, pets are permitted to join the fun as long as they stay inside the vehicle while driving through.

    Is There a Restroom?

    We have two (2) porta potties in the main parking lot for you to use. After you exit the trail of the show, you'll pass the ticket booth and then make a right after the chainlink fence to drive down to the main beach parking lot. We are also very close to town and local businesses if you needed to find a restroom facility. 

    What is the Show Snack Pack?

    NEW This Year—Buy a Show Snack Pack when you order your ticket online or purchase at the entrance. of the light show. You get a water bottle and a pack of Grandma's Chocolate Chip Cookies for only $3.00. 

    Where Do Event Proceeds Go?

    When you visit the Smith Point Light Show, you are helping families in your community. Girl Scouts’ unique programs and services are offered to all children in a myriad of ways: traditional avenues, such as troops, partnerships with school districts in STEM and Arts education, Financial Aid, learning opportunities with other agencies, and programs for children and families in underserved communities. 

    The Light Show enables Girl Scouts to continue to send children in need to summer camp and to maintain its stewardship of two camp properties: Camp Edey in Bayport on the Sans Souci Lakes, and Camp Sobaco in Yaphank’s Pine Barrens on the banks of the Carman’s River.
