Troop Support Roles

There are many opportunities to support a troop aside from being a leader.

As a product sales manager, responsibilities include:

  • Entering sales information into an online system
  • Distributing products and awards
  • Collecting funds
  • Working with leaders to set up booth sales
  • And more!

Training is required for this role.

Troop Treasurer toggle arrow
Troop treasurers are bank signers on troop accounts and keep track of the income and expenses for a Girl Scout troop.

They collect receipts for troop debit card expenditures, issue reimbursements to volunteers who purchase items on behalf of the troop, and stay informed on income generated from money-earning activities and product sales. At the end of the year, they work with the troop leaders and troop product managers to complete the Annual Troop Finance Report.

Training is required for this role.

General Troop Support toggle arrow
Troops always need assistance for meetings and activities. General troop support roles can include snack coordinator; trip chaperone; first aider, and more. Volunteers can speak with their troop leader to find out what help is needed throughout the year.
