58th Annual Meeting
The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County is governed, according to its bylaws, by a Board of Directors composed of volunteer women and men who believe in the value of Girl Scouting and are elected by the Delegate Body of the council.
The Annual Council Meeting is facilitated by the President of the Board of Directors and is an opportunity for the important business of electing the Board of Directors, the Board Development Committee and every three years the National Council Delegates and Alternates to take place.
This year, our Council delegates unanimously voted on the slate and we inducted members to our Board of Directors.
We highlighted our State of the Council during the 2024-2025 Girl Scout Year, honored our outstanding and dedicated Girl Scout Volunteers with our Volunteer Appreciation Awards, and recognized long-time volunteer Laura Nealon with the Nancy Entenmann Award.
We acknowledged 5 graduating Ambassador Girl Scouts with the Past Presidents Scholarship, gave a big round of applause to our Medal of Honor recipient, Diana Hubschman, and recognized our Girl Advisory Team and Media Girls for their support of the Council and for making the world a better place through their service and stories.
