How to Create a Team/Join a Team
Step 1: Visit our Give Butter: Tough Cookie 5K Race & 1 Mile Family Fun Walk Team Leaderboard webpage to get started.
Step 2: Scroll down to the "Team Members" section and tap the “Fundraise” button to join a team or create your own.
Step 3: Create your account by filling in the required information. Then tap "Sign Up".
Step 4: Next, you can either tap "Join a Team" or "Create a Team" at the top.
- Join a Team: Find your team in the drop-down menu. (Only teams already created by a Team Leader will be listed here.)
- Create a Team: Name your Team and/or upload an image (optional), set your Team's Fundraising Goal, and share your Team's Story on why you are all running/walking in support of Girl Scouts of Suffolk County.
Tap "Join This Fundraiser" to complete your sign-up/team.
Step 5: You will now see "My Fundraising Page". Tap "Edit Page" to check your information, set your own personal fundraising goal, and your personal story on why you are supporting Girl Scouts of Suffolk County.
You can tap "Share" to copy your fundraising page link, or "Invite Donors" to share your fundraising goal with your friends and family. This link will give you and your team credit for each donation received. And, you can invite others to join your team via this link too.
Step 6: Share and promote your fundraising goal and team! Ask friends and family to donate and support our organization. (social media, email, text messages, etc.)
When the team hits certain fundraising milestones, you and your team leader(s) will earn some awesome rewards. The top team that raises the most money will also get a special pizza party with Tammy Severino, the CEO of Girl Scouts of Suffolk County.
