Date: Thu May 22, 4:30 PM EST - Thu May 22, 6:00 PM EST
Join the Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) for an
exciting and educational Native Plant Walk at Camp Edey! This hands-on
program is designed to help girls discover the beauty of native
plants, learn how to identify them, and understand the important role
they play in our local ecosystems.
Guided by experts from
LINPI, participants will explore the trails of Camp Edey while
learning to spot and identify both native and invasive plant species.
Girls will gain valuable knowledge about how native plants support
wildlife, improve biodiversity, and help protect our environment,
while also discovering the challenges posed by invasive species and
how they impact local habitats.
Whether you're a budding
botanist or just curious about the natural world, this program offers
a great opportunity to get outside, connect with nature, and gain a
deeper appreciation for the plants that surround us.
