Life Savers of Long Island will facilitate The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED for certification from American Heart Association, which fulfills training requirements for volunteers who need to be certified or renew certification. This is a blended-learning course, with a mandatory online portion needing to be completed prior to the practical, hands-on session that will be held on this date. Information about the online course will be given at the time of registration. Once registration is complete, participants will receive a follow-up email directly from the American Heart Association with a link to the required online course (Part 1). This online portion must be completed in full prior to attending the scheduled in-person skills session. Anyone who has not completed Part 1 will not be permitted to participate in the in-person training.
Please Note: All registrations are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, you must provide at least 48 hours' notice in order to be eligible for a makeup session. Makeup classes will be held exclusively at the LifeSavers of Long Island training center, located on Broadhollow Road in Melville. Please be advised that Girl Scouts of Suffolk County is not responsible for registration, training, cancellations, or rescheduling. All inquiries should be directed to LifeSavers of Long Island.
