Spend the Summer with Girl Scouts!

Our beautiful Camp Edey in Bayport offer lots of unique and exciting activities for 9 weeks, June 28 - August 27!

Day Camp is for girls in grades 1-10. Campers will enjoy games & sports, experiments, swimming, archery and much more!

Dates & Cost
Camp Hours are 9AM - 4:30PM with FREE Extended Care from 8AM - 6PM

(Drop-off no later than 9:00 AM and picked-up no earlier than 4:30 PM)

Weekly Themes
Week 1 - Sugar Rush!

Dress as your favorite character from Wreck-It Ralph, experiment in our candy science lab, engineer your own candy race car, and more.

Week 2 - Mission Impossible

Learn about decoding secret messages, make your own invisible ink, and use clues to crack a case! It's going to be incog"neat"o!

Week 3 - New York State of Mind

Create your own Street Art canvas, construct your own "Big Apple” snack, play a subway game, and decorate your own camp shirt with New York Fashion Week in mind.

Week 4 - Potter University

Are you ready for a "Wand"erful week at Hogwarts? Make a beautiful DIY wand out of nature items, create some Potter Potion slime, enjoy Golden Snitch cake pops, discover your Hogwarts house, and more!

Week 5 - Cast Away

Join our Cast Away week and focus on the wonders of wind and sea. Learn about boating, create some under the sea art, build a raft craft, and so much more.

Week 6 – Imaginarium

Everything that is real was imagined first! During this week, let your dreams become a reality. Create a mixed media galaxy of dreams art, dive into STEM , participate in a Thing-a-Majig challenge, and more.

Week 7 - Holidays!

Let’s take a holiday this summer! Create holiday-inspired crafts, learn songs, and concoct a tasty treat. It’s a whole celebration vacation!

Week 8 - Abominable in August!

There's "snow" season like summer! So, let’s get abominable in August. Enjoy a snow cone, solve clues to find the missing Yeti, compete in a Big Foot race and play with snow in August!

Week 9 - Superhero Art

Who's ready to save the day? Get in touch with your powerful side by creating Superhero inspired art. Make a superhero self-portrait, DIY comic book, 3D canvas painting, and more.

Camp, Health, and Safety Guidelines (Updated)
COVID-19 Safety Measures
  • Every morning, before camp the COVID-19 Screening Form must be completed.
  • Campers must be dropped off and picked up at Camp Edey. Parents/Caregivers will remain in their cars.
  • Campers must wear a mask.
  • Temperatures will be taken at time of arrival.
  • Campers will be operating independently in “pods".
  • Cleaning and sanitization procedures will be conducted daily.
  • Lunch will not be provided; only snack is provided. Please pack a bag lunch and drink for your camper.
  • Groups will each have a designated area to store personal items, including lunch.
  • Due to safety precautions, no amenities will be offered, including bus transportation, swim lessons and horseback riding.

Registration, Financial Aid & Refund Policy (Updated)

All you need is a $50 non-refundable deposit per week. Your camp balance will be conveniently and automatically debited from the credit card you choose 14 days before the start of each weekly session (payment due date) . You may pay toward your balance at any time before the payment due date.

Pending availability, our online registration closes at 12 PM on the Wednesday prior to the start of the weekly session. You may request to register after this time, if camp session has not reached capacity of 120 campers, by contacting the Camp Director by email ( or by phone (631-543-6622 ext. 308). Registrations after the week closes will be charged a $25.00 registration late fee.

Not a member? Not a problem!

A $50 required membership fee for all campers is all it takes. Fee does not apply to registered Girl Scouts.

Financial Aid

Financial Aid is awarded to registered Girl Scouts and their families. If you are not a registered Girl Scout or have not renewed your membership for the current Girl Scout year, you will be required to pay the $50 membership fee when you register for camp. 

Financial Aid awards usually range from $50-$75/week. One form per child. 

Deadline: June 15, 2021 for Weeks 1-9


  1. Household income less than $65,000
  2. Must provide one of the following with your financial aid application:
    • 1040 or 1040A tax form from previous year, pages 1 and 2;
    • Proof of participation in the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP);
    • Proof of participation in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
Refunds & Transfers

Refund PolicyOnline Refund Request Form For Medical Reasons

All deposits are non-refundable. Refund requests for camp payments are only considered for medical reasons and must be made prior to weekly session start, verified in writing by a physician, and constitutes a minimum of 5 consecutive days missed. Refunds are not considered for partially-attended weeks, no-shows, campers who voluntarily withdraw, or those removed from camp for any reason.

Transfer Request Policy

Requests to transfer weekly sessions must requested through our Online Transfer Request Form and a $15 session transfer fee will be charged to your account. Missed days will not be prorated. Please be advised, camp will be operating with a reduced number of attendees and transfer requests cannot be guaranteed.

Counselor-In-Training Program
Become a Counselor-In-Training (CIT)

To be eligible to become a CIT at our Summer Camp, those interested must qualify/complete all of the following:

  1. Be a Registered Girl Scout (Join Girl Scouts
  2. Be Entering the 10th grade
  3. Complete the Counselor-In-Training 1 Training Course. 
    • Available Training Dates for 2021 (Virtually on Zoom): 
      • Wednesday, May 19, from 5:30 - 6:30PM
      • Tuesday, June 1 from 5:30 - 6:30PM
  4. Eligible Girls must register online as a CIT for Summer Camp 
    • CIT Registration is $75 per week (Week 2 is $60) - Includes a snack. You will need to bring a bag lunch and a drink. There will be no bus transportation this year.

Can I register to become a CIT for multiple weeks?

Yes! You can register for as many weeks as you would like. CITs are evaluated on a weekly basis.  As long as a CIT continues to receive positive evaluations, they are welcome to be part of the Girl Scout of Suffolk County Summer Camp Team.

How do I get to Camp Edey?
  • Camp Edey is located at 1500 Lakeview Avenue, Bayport, NY 11705 (Google MapsFrom the East or West: Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 62 South, Nicolls Road. Take Nicolls Road South to the end to Montauk Highway. Turn right onto Montauk Highway. Go west approx. one mile to Lakeview Avenue. Turn right on Lakeview Avenue. Proceed straight on Lakeview Avenue toward Camp Edey. The Juliette Low Friendship Center ( Google Maps) is on the left half-way down the avenue. The Betty Jane Horowitz Welcome Center is on the right side of the parking lot at the end of Lakeview Avenue.
Will There Be Swimming During Summer Camp?
  • Swimming will be offered daily (weather permitting), but swimming lessons will not be available this year.
