Sun safety is an important part of health, wellness, and self-care!
Practicing sun safety helps prevent sun burns, skin damage, aging and
wrinkles, and reduces your risk of skin cancer. Join the Stony Brook
Cancer Center's Office of Community Outreach & Engagement for an
interactive session where girls will learn about the importance of sun
safety, how the sun damages the skin, how to protect our skin by
practicing sun safety, and how a sun safe skin care routine can help
our girls grow into healthy, strong women. Sun safe girlies will make
their own sun safety bracelet with UV-color changing beads while
Cancer Center staff lead a group conversation about sun safety and
skin health.
