Camp Edey

Our girls-only camp is located on 95 sprawling acres on the beautiful Sans Souci Lakes in Bayport, has two pools, an archery range, miles of hiking trails, and even a frog-friendly pond. 

We offer four different camp programs to fit everyone: Pixie Day Camp (Ages 3-5), Journey to Adventure (Grades 1-6), Teen-Ventures (Grades 7-9) & Sleepaway Camp (Grades 5-9).

  • A typical day runs from 9AM-4:30PM
  • Located at 1500 Lakeview Avenue, Bayport, NY 11705 (Hyperlink to landing page – Policies & Information)
  • NEW! Corcls at Camp Edey - a round boat that can be used while sitting or kneeling, with a paddle. It's a fun and easy way to get out on the water. For grades 3+. Maximum recommended capacity: 225lbs.

Optional Amenities

Optional Amenities are not available for Pixie Day Camp. Archery, Swimming Lessons & Horseback riding will not be offered during Week 2, which is a 3-day week due to the Independence Day Holiday.

  • Bus Transportation - $40 per week. (Week 2 - $25) Includes bus pick-up & drop-off @ designated bus stops.
  • Swimming Lessons - $125/4-Day Session. 45 minute lesson. Red Cross Learn-To-Swim certified instructors.
  • Horseback Riding - $150/ Four-One-Hour Sessions. For beginners. Each session includes riding lesson, horse and stable care. New patch each week. Required attire: Boots or shoes with one-inch heels, jeans or long pants, riding helmet (provided at stable if necessary)
  • Archery - $75/ Four-One-Hour Sessions / Grades 2+. Archery basics, precision, target practice. New patch each week.
  • Extended Care - $50 per week. (Week 2 - $30) Only available at Camp Edey. Drop-off @ 8AM. Pick-up @ 6PM.

Pixie Day Camp (Ages 3-5)

Have a Pixie Perfect Summer!

Just for girls ages 3-5. Spend a half day exploring beautiful Camp Edey. Program runs Monday-Friday, 9:30AM- 12:30PM.

Activities include:

Water Play, Sing-A-Longs, Games, Crafts, Snack, Weekly Themed Activities & More!

Cost:
$125 per girl per week (Except Week 2: $75 per girl for 3-days)

Please Note: Pixies must be completely toilet trained. Pull-up diapers are not permitted.

Week 1: June 26-30

Welcome to Pixie Hollow - It's a fairytale frenzy!  Make a fairy of your very own, design a fairy halo and decorate stones for our Pixie Rock Garden!

Week 2: July 5-7
(3-days only)

Nature’s Angels - We're nuts about nature!  Complete a nature carton collection, create leaf print art and paint your own 

Week 3: July 10-14

Mini Monet - Enjoy roller painting, thumbprint art and more to bring out your little artist!

Week 4: July 17-21

Big Sister Week - Kindness counts this week!  Campers of all ages will work together to show each other what sisterhood is all about!

Week 5: July 24-28

Over the Rainbow - Go on a Paint Chip scavenger hunt, create a macaroni rainbow mobile and take part in our Color Changing Carnation experiment! 

Week 6: July 31-Aug. 4

We Got the Beat - Make your own ribbon wand and instrument to dance to the beat with Girl Scouts!

Week 7: August 7-11

Chasing Butterflies - Do a STEM butterfly experiment and build your own butterfly wings to flutter around Camp Edey!

Week 8: August 14-18

Little Ladybugs - We're loving ladybugs!  Run a ladybug relay, design a sun catcher and make a DIY wind chime!

Week 9: August 21-25

Forest Friends - Make a sleepy bear, hunt for items to make a forest friends headband and create a forest tale during this animal themed week!

Week 10: August 28-Sep. 1

Happy Hearts - C'mon, get happy!  Craft a friendship bracelet and make happy heart cards to share with friends and more! 

 

Journey To Adventure (1-6)

Camp Edey's Journey to Adventure is for girls entering grades 1- 6. Girls are rewarded with a different patch each week. Collect all 10! Activities are designed around a different theme every week and include the following:

  • Swimming. Lots of it. Swimming Lessons available!
  • Experience the fun of the GS Journey 
  • Paddle Boats & Corcls on the Lake
  • Hiking & Nature Activities - Miles of woodland trails and the unique flora and fauna you'll only see on a wetland preserve.
  • Fishing in the Lake - No worries - it's catch and release and supervised by NYS DEC as part of the I FISH NY program.
  • Ga-Ga and other Sports & Games 
  • Arts & Crafts - We're artsy and proud of it.
  • Talent Shows & Other Special Events. Trust us - we know fun!

Cost:
$285 per girl per week (Except Week 2: $175 per girl for 3-days)

Don’t forget about our optional amenities, such as Archery!

Girl Scout Clubhouse - Take part in the best of Girl Scout traditions! Create a sit-upon, indulge in s'mores and more!

Week 2: July 5-7
(3-days only)

Nature Girls - Experience the great outdoors with a hands-on hike, fishing, and learn trail signs to play arrow hunt!

Week 3: July 10-14

Once Upon a Palette - Experiment with natural dyes, go on a color hike and create beautiful bubble art!

Week 4: July 17-21

Big Sister Week - Kindness counts this week!  Mentor a fellow camper to show her what sisterhood is all about!

Week 5: July 24-28

Color Wars! - Our favorite week of the summer!  Create a team banner, cheer on your counselor during the frozen t-shirt race, and more!

Week 6: July 31-Aug. 4

We Got the Beat - It's musical madness!  Make your own instrument and move to the beat at our all camp dance party!

Week 7: August 7-11

Let's Cook! - Get your taste buds ready as you learn creative ways to cook in the outdoors.

Week 8: August 14-18

Rotten to the Core: Descendant's Day - Dress up as your favorite hero or villain, compete in a lip synch battle and more at our Descendants themed week!

Week 9: August 21-25

Mission: Possible - This mission IS possible! Your assignment?  Have fun as you test your skills to solve mysteries, puzzles and team challenges!

Week 10: August 28-Sep. 1

Strike a Pose - End the summer with selfie stations, mannequin challenges and an all-camp freeze dance contest!

Teen Ventures (Grades 7-9)

It's Your World, Your Way!

Designed especially for our older girls entering grades 7 - 9. This exciting program is full of unique activities. It’s the camp you love with exciting activities tailored for you:

  • Swimming? Teen-Swim.
  • Paddleboats? Sure, but you also have canoes.
  • Ga Ga
  • Exclusive lunches
  • Your own group
  • Plus an off-site trip each week

Cost:
$335 per girl per week (Except Week 2: $209 per girl for 3-days)

Hook, Line & Sinker! - Go fishing on a charter boat out of Captree, make your own fish scale art, create a mermaid look and more!

Week 2: July 5-7
(3-days only)

Mix-up, Mash-up - It's a week of transformation!  Projects include tie-dye t-shirt headbands, a water wall contest and our Denim Do-Over Challenge! Also a trip to the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park.

Week 3: July 10-14

Girls on the Go! - Girls, grab your wheels and get ready to roll at our trip to United Skates in Hicksville!  Dress up for Back to the 80's Day and other throwback fun!

Week 4: July 17-21

Big Sister Week - Kindness counts this week!  Mentor a fellow camper to show her what sisterhood is all about! Also a trip to Lazerland in Commack.

Week 5: July 24-28

Color Wars! - Our favorite week of the summer!  Create a team banner, cheer on your counselor during the frozen t-shirt race, and more! Also a trip to Long Island Ducks Stadium in Central Islip

Week 6: July 31-Aug. 4

Teen Country - Yee-haw!  Try country line dancing, fashion a dreamcatcher headband and kick up your heels at our BBQ Bash! Also stay overnight at Camp Edey and enjoy night activities.

Week 7: August 7-11

What's Cookin'? - Tour Eve’s Organic Farm in Riverhead, eat a farm-to-table lunch, take a cooking class and more!

Week 8: August 14-18

Flip Flops & Sunglasses - Craft a DIY beach bag, create a sand art masterpiece and unwind during a relaxing beach day at Corey Beach in Bayport.

Week 9: August 21-25

Shark Week - Take a trip to Cornell Sea Adventures Marine Camp in Riverhead to investigate the anatomy of a shark, create shark string art and paint a jaws-dropping pillowcase!

Week 10: August 28-Sep. 1

Camp-topia - Celebrate the last week of summer camp with human scrabble, a sleeping bag relay, a summer camp spirit stick and stay overnight at Camp Edey!

Sleepaway Camp (Grades 5-9)

Stay the week and make lifelong friends and memories!  

Not only do you get to enjoy Camp Edey during the day with Journey To Adventure or Teen-Ventures, you get to say overnight all week with fun night activities:

  • Glowing Night Hike
  • Moonlight Swimming
  • Outdoor Cooking
  • Campfire Sing-A-Longs & Much More!
