Camp Edey

Our girls-only camp is located on 95 sprawling acres on the beautiful Sans Souci Lakes in Bayport, has two pools, an archery range, miles of hiking trails, and even a frog-friendly pond. 

We offer four different camp programs to fit everyone: Pixie Day Camp (Ages 3-5), Journey to Adventure (Grades 1-6), Teen-Ventures (Grades 7-9) & Sleepaway Camp (Grades 5-9).

  • A typical day runs from 9AM-4:30PM
  • Located at 1500 Lakeview Avenue, Bayport, NY 11705 
  • Choose Your Own Adventure - Campers pick exciting activities from a special menu on select days!
  • Corcls at Camp Edey - a round boat that can be used while sitting or kneeling, with a paddle. It's a fun and easy way to get out on the water. For grades 3+. Maximum recommended capacity: 225lbs.

Optional Amenities

  • Bus Transportation - $50 per week. (Week 1 - $30) Includes bus pick-up & drop-off @ designated bus stops.
  • Swimming Lessons - $125/4-Day Session. 45 minute lesson. Red Cross Learn-To-Swim certified instructors.
  • Horseback Riding - $175/ Four-One-Hour Sessions. For beginners. Each session includes riding lesson, horse and stable care. New patch each week. Required attire: Boots or shoes with one-inch heels, jeans or long pants, riding helmet (provided at stable if necessary)
  • Archery - $75/ Four-One-Hour Sessions / Grades 2+. Archery basics, precision, target practice. New patch each week.
  • Extended Care - $50 per week. (Week 1 - $30) Only available at Camp Edey. NEW Early Drop-off @ 7:30AM. Pick-up @ 6PM.

Week 1: July 1-3
(3-days only)

Wonder Women
Learn about real life heroes! Create your very own cape and mask to take home, and join us in our Girl Scout Camp Edey 4th of July Parade. Each group will make a festive float and participate.

Teen Ventures will enjoy our series of real life superhero speakers all with inspirational and powerful stories to share.

Week 2: July 8-12

Move Over Moana
Calling all adventurers! During your journey, you will go on a quest to become a master way-finder with boating races, a scavenger hunt to find the Heart of Te Fiti, complete Moana STEM challenges and take part in an all-camp Polynesian celebration!

Teen-Ventures will enjoy a day at Corey Beach and lunch at Flo's Luncheonette.

Week 3: July 15-19

Stop and Smell the S'mores
Girl Scout Traditions serve as the theme for this week! Immerse yourself in Girl Scout culture, including SWAPs, sit-upons, sing-alongs and naturally, s'mores!

Teen Ventures will enjoy a sleepover at Camp Edey for the night, a fondue station and create a fun dutch oven snack!

Week 4: July 22-26

Big Sister Week
Kindness counts this week! Leave a shout-out at our Appreciation Station, create secret SWAPS to share, and race the clock with our Big/Little Sister Olympics. Girls will work with campers of all ages to show what sisterhood is all about!

Teen-Ventures will go on a trip to Tanger Outlets in Deer Park and enjoy lunch at Johnny Rocket’s.

Week 5: July 29-Aug. 2

Color Wars!
Join us as we all wear white clothing and run together through our colorful Color Run. Then, cheer on staff members during our staff boat race!

Teen-Ventures will have a visit from a martial arts instructor from Breathe Jiu Jitsu.

Week 6: August 5-9

Trail Mix
Enjoy an all-camp scavenger hunt around Camp Edey. Followfun clues and solve mysteries to earn pieces of your trail mix along the way!

Teen-Ventures will work with a special guest yoga instructor for a fun yoga session by the lake.

Week 7: August 12-16

Science of Silliness
Create an elephant toothpaste foamy explosion, learn about the science of ice fishing, create slime and much more in this week of silly science! Special guest: our Mad Scientist doing a spin, pop, boom presentation! 

Teen-Ventures will design and create their own T-shirt with iron-on crayon art and make magnetic slime! 

Week 8: August 19-23

Ms. Fix-It
Show us your girl power! Learn how to safely use basic tools, create, and fix things with our special guest. This is a hands-on experience like no another!

Teen-Ventures will go on a field trip to the Cornell Cooperative Extension and learn about marine life on Long Island. 

Week 9: August 26-30

Grab Your Broomsticks
All hail Hermione! Take our Forbidden Forest Spider Web challenge, play a game of Quidditch, create your very own Snitch and follow the recipe for Professor Snape's magic potion! 

Teen-Ventures will go on an exciting trip into the world of virtual reality at Simplay in Commack and then sleepover at Camp Edey for the night!

Pixie Day Camp (Ages 3-5)

Have a Pixie Perfect Summer!

Just for girls ages 3-5 (Pre-K to Kindergarten). Spend a half day exploring beautiful Camp Edey. Program runs Monday-Friday, 9:30AM- 12:30PM.

Activities include:

Water Play, Sing-A-Longs, Games, Crafts, Snack, Weekly Themed Activities & More!

Cost:
$125 per girl per week (Except Week 1: $75 per girl for 3-days)

Please Note: Pixies must be completely toilet trained. Pull-up diapers are not permitted.

Journey To Adventure (Grades 1-6)

Camp Edey's Journey to Adventure is for girls entering grades 1- 6. Girls are rewarded with a different patch each week. Collect all 9! Activities are designed around a different theme every week and include the following:

  • Swimming. Lots of it. Swimming Lessons available!
  • Experience the fun of the GS Journey 
  • Paddle Boats & Corcls on the Lake
  • Hiking & Nature Activities - Miles of woodland trails and the unique flora and fauna you'll only see on a wetland preserve.
  • Fishing in the Lake - No worries - it's catch and release and supervised by NYS DEC as part of the I FISH NY program. 
  • Ga-Ga and other Sports & Games 
  • Arts & Crafts - We're artsy and proud of it.
  • Talent Shows & Other Special Events. Trust us - we know fun!

Cost:
$295 per girl per week (Except Week 1: $195 per girl for 3-days)

Teen-Ventures (Grades 7-9)

It's Your World, Your Way!

Designed especially for our older girls entering grades 7 - 9. This exciting program is full of unique activities. It’s the camp you love with exciting activities tailored for you:

  • Swimming? Teen-Swim.
  • Paddleboats? Sure, but you also have canoes.
  • Ga Ga
  • Your own group
  • Plus an off-site trip OR special guest each week

Cost:
$345 per girl per week (Except Week 1: $245 per girl for 3-days)
