Plant a Tree & Celebrate Girl Scouts’ 100th Anniversary!

This spring, Girl Scouts are renewing our communities by planting trees! Beginning in April, Girl Scouts throughout Suffolk County will be planting Balsam Fir Trees that we provide in their communities to celebrate Girl Scouts' 100th Anniversary. Don't miss this opportunity to show your Girl Scout dedication to respecting and refreshing the environment.

We have notified Town Supervisors throughout Suffolk County about this 100th Anniversary project. You can call your local town supervisor's office for ideas and suggestions on where to plant trees, as well as solicit local businesses for permission to plant trees on their property.

Trees will be arriving in mid to late April 2012. All trees must be picked up at Camp Edey in Bayport. You will be notified by email when trees are ready for pick-up. Tree seedlings are containerized, and are 6-10inches in height.

Thank you for participating and celebrating 100 years of Girl Scouting!
