Camp Sobaco

Camp Sobaco, our co-ed camp, is located on 41 acres of Pine Barrens in Yaphank and serves children entering 1st - 6th grade. Our woodsy atmosphere is ideal for younger campers and provides an opportunity for siblings to attend together. View Weekly Special Events.

Sounds Surround
Listen and identify the many sounds around you. Take a nature hike to listen to new sounds, meet a musical guest and more.

Week 2: July 7 - 11
The Science of Ice Cream!

Participate in a delicious ice cream experiment and others to learn how your body converts food to energy.

Week 3: July 14 - 18
Mini Meteorologist

The forecast this week: FUN! Transform into a meteorologist as you study weather patterns, create your own clouds and make a tornado.

Creatures & Critters

Learn animal tracking and more!

Solar Power

Create projects utilizing solar power. Make bracelets with solar beads, cook in a solar over and more!

It’s slime time! Create your own slime. Older groups will perfect their slime recipe to “slime” a counselor at the end of the week!

Create your own super-identity as you explore the super powers of people and animals! Learn how science and technology have given us the power of light, and investigate the super powers of invisibility and X-ray vision.

Drop-Off Instructions
Please drop-off your child at the In Katie's Care by 9AM and pick-up by 4:30PM each day. It is important that you check-in and check-out your child inside the building each day. Children will only be released to those listed when registering online and must show id for verification.

Optional Amenities
Bus Transportation - $30 per week
Includes bus pick-p and drop-off.
